When the Maps, Cargo, and Crew Aren't Enough
- You've used the Atlas Scribe cargo.
- You've reviewed the maps.
- You've attempted intervention.
- You've documented what happened.
- Something still isn't making sense.
The Distress Signal Review exists for commissioned pirates who have done the work and still cannot identify what lies beneath the waterline.
What Is Included
Every Distress Signal Review includes:
- Review of your Captain's Log
- Review of supporting documentation and artifacts
- Review of Atlas Scribe resources already deployed
- Harbor Authority assessment of the situation
- Written findings and recommended next actions
The purpose of the review is to determine whether:
- Β You've hit a reef. πͺ¨
- You're taking on water. π§
- The vessel is actively sinking. π¨
- You're using the wrong map. πΊοΈ
Or whether the answer is already hiding in the information you've provided.
Before You Signal the Harbor
Distress Signals are intended for situations where Atlas Scribe cargo has already been used.
Be prepared to provide:
- Situation summary
- Actions already taken
- Relevant observations
- Supporting documentation
- Atlas Scribe resources deployed
- Current operational impact
The Harbor reviews evidence, not speculation.
Review Commission
$500 Distress Signal Review
Submission of a Distress Signal includes review by the Harbor Authority.
The review commission covers the time required to evaluate your logs, documentation, evidence, and current situation.
Submission does not guarantee further engagement.
It guarantees a review only.
Possible Outcomes
1. Proceed Under Your Own Power
The Harbor identifies a path forward using existing cargo, maps, or resources.
No further deployment required.
2. Recommended Course Correction
The Harbor provides findings and recommendations.
Implementation remains with the captain and crew.
3. Harbor Master Deployment Recommended
The situation warrants further investigation, navigation, or direct involvement.
If additional work is required, scope, timeline, and commission terms will be discussed separately.
Any future engagement is commissioned independently and priced according to the complexity, scale, location, and requirements of the situation.
Harbor Master's Notice
The Distress Signal Review exists because the Harbor Master's time is finite.
The purpose is not to replace your navigation.
The purpose is to determine whether another set of eyes can help reveal what you or your crew can no longer see.
If you've done the work and still cannot find the reef, signal the Harbor Master.
